Tuberose is extracted from the flowers of the plant. Its botanical name is Polianthes tuberose and the process which is used to extract this oil is Enfluerage. But these days, to make the extraction easy and quick, solvent extraction method is used. This method is also natural but it’s easier than the manual method of enfluerage. Here, only those fresh flowers are made in use whose petals have not opened yet. It is basically a perennial plant which has a tendency to grow in elongated spikes which are almost 18 inches long. This oil is also known as "Mistress of the Night" and "Night Queen".  Also, this oil is used in the various medicinal and therapeutic uses.

Perfumery:-Since, Tuberose oil has got a very soothing and calming fragrance, it is used in the preparation of different perfumes and deodorants.  Its fragrance is long lasting and has become an ideal choice of many people. Also, it is believed that the soothing effects of it are helpful in keeping the mind and soul calm and relaxed.
Respiratory system: - Tuberose oil helps in stimulating the blood circulation and gives a warming effect to the body. This in turn is helpful to keep the respiratory system warm and helps in preventing the accumulation of phlegm and catarrh especially in the cold weathers.
Aphrodisiac: - This oil is considered to be the best aphrodisiac till date. Tuberose oil helps in overcoming the problems of lack of libido, frigidity, impotency and other reacted problems. This happens because it has the propensity to stimulate the sexual feelings in the brain.
