Rosemary oil is extracted from the fresh flowering tops by the steam distillation process. It is basically a very shrubby and an evergreen bush from which it is extracted. It grows up to 4 feet high and has got gray-green leaves in a needle shape. Its flowers are of bluish color which is loved by bees a lot.  The name is actually derived from the Latin ‘Rosemarinus’ which means it is very fond of water.
